How does ScheduleOnce connect with Google Calendar?
ScheduleOnce connects with Google Calendar via the Google Calendar Web API. ScheduleOnce has found this method to be very efficient and one that provides excellent performance without the need to download any software.
ScheduleOnce communicates with the Google Calendar API using a token that is generated by Google and therefore your Google user name and password is never known to ScheduleOnce and is not saved on our servers.
Can I connect to my Google Apps Calendar?
Sure you can! However, if you haven't previously logged into your Google Apps account with this browser, you may need to do so first. Don't try to login to your Apps account via the Gmail-based Google Account page-this will not work. You have to login to your Google Apps account through your domain.
Once you have logged in you should connect again via ScheduleOnce and you will see your Google Apps account available for selection.
How does ScheduleOnce connect with other calendars?
ScheduleOnce has selected Google Calendar as its calendar platform and connects to Google Calendar via the Google Calendar Web API. ScheduleOnce has found this method to be very efficient and one that provides excellent performance without the need to download any software.
In order to integrate with desktop calendars such as Microsoft's Outlook there is a need to download a small applet that communicates between the desktop calendar and the underlying web system.
Google has already developed this applet to communicate between the desktop calendar and Google Calendar:

In our view, the best solution is to use the Google Calendar Sync program even if you are not actively using Google Calendar to manage your Schedule. When you download the Google Calendar Sync program simply choose the two-way Sync option between your desktop calendar and your Google Calendar. This option will expose your busy time to ScheduleOnce and will automatically create a calendar entry in your desktop calendar when the meeting is scheduled. All this will be done without creating any extra overhead on your system or work processes.
More information on syncing your desktop calendar with Google Calendar can be found on:

Note that even if you don't have a Google Calendar account, you can open one just for the sake of connecting with ScheduleOnce. There is no need to actively use it in order to benefit from its synchronization capabilities.
How do you protect the security of my Google login information?
ScheduleOnce does not know your Google account login – Authentication is done directly against Google which then grants ScheduleOnce permission to access your calendar via their API.
Which calendar data is used by ScheduleOnce when my calendar is connected?
The only data used by ScheduleOnce is the free/busy information from your Google Calendar.
Is any information from my calendar saved on the ScheduleOnce servers?
Your Google Calendar data is read by ScheduleOnce in real time via the Google Calendar API and hence your private data is not saved on the ScheduleOnce servers.
ScheduleOnce communicates with the Google Calendar API using a token that is generated by Google and therefore your Google user name and password is never known to ScheduleOnce and is not saved on our servers.
The only data that is saved on the ScheduleOnce servers is your email address. You can find out more in our privacy policy.
Why do my busy times appear in wrong hours on ScheduleOnce?
This is due to time zone differences between your Google Calendar and ScheduleOnce. To change the time zone:
• On ScheduleOnce: Click on the time zone link at the top of the page, select the new time zone and apply.
• On Google Calendar: Click on “Settings” at the top of the Google Calendar page, select the new time zone and save. Reload\refresh the ScheduleOnce page to reflect the change.
If you still see time differences this is probably due to temporary differences in the application of daylight saving time that may occur in some locations. ScheduleOnce is always updated with accurate daylight saving time changes, and the absolute correct hours will appear in the scheduling confirmation email.
I'm already connected with one account, how do I switch to another?
The simplest way to switch between accounts is to logout of your Google account in any Google page and log back in with the new account.
You can also switch accounts in ScheduleOnce while you are connected.
Switching between Gmail and Google Apps accounts:
1. Click on “disconnect”
2. Click on “Connect my calendar”
3. Select or login to the new account
4. Grant access to the new account
Switching between two Gmail accounts or two Google Apps accounts:
1. Click on “disconnect”
2. Click on “Connect my calendar”
3. Logout from the current account and login to the new account
4. Click your browser's “back” button to get to Google's Grant Access page
5. Grant access to the new account
I cannot connect - what should I do?
This may be due to temporary communication problems with the Google Calendar API. Please try the following
1. Make sure cookies are enabled on your browser
2. Verify that you can login to your Google or Google Apps account
3. Try to connect again from ScheduleOnce
If you're still having problems please contact us, we will be happy to assist you.
